On February 14, 2019, Bring Me The Horizon performed 2 (Mother Tongue & Medicine) songs on Jimmy Kimmel Live while wrapping up their First Love tour. The very next day, February 15th, Oliver Sykes and BMTH tweeted that he had ruptured his right vocal chord, also stating that they would have to cancel the final two shows of the tour which were set to take place in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Its not exactly clear if he obtained the injury as a result of performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I was able to find their Mother Tongue performance from that night, but not Medicine. This leads me to believe that he did obtain the injury while performing on the talk show.
On March 1, 2019 Oliver took to Twitter again to announce that the doctors have given him the information that his vocal chords were fully healed.
