Welcome To Rockville has announced their lineup for next year (May 3+4+5 2019)! This year (2018) I had such a blast and an amazing experience at the festival. Weather was very nice, Saturday was a little hot but not too bad. The venue was easy to navigate and very spacious. I was absolutely looking forward to attending again next year. This year, there were 53 band in total that played, the original count was 54 but Killswitch Engage had to drop out due to an "emergency vocal surgery". They are slotted to play this year on Friday, May 3rd. Check out the official lineup below!!!
Fever 333 is returning to the festival in 2019, I wasn't able to see them last year so hopefully i will get the chance to next year. Zakk Wylde is also returning to the Rockville stage, but this time with Black Label Society. Last year he played an amazing set with Ozzy Osbourne. I'm excited to see some of these bands for the first time, such as Rob Zombie, Tool, and In This Moment. The bands I've seen before and will enjoy seeing again include Papa Roach, Flogging Molly, and Chevelle.
The first Welcome to Rockville festival was held on May 8th 2011 and has been held every year since. This next year (2019) will be the 9th festival that has been held in Jacksonville, Florida. Many bands have performed at Rockville including Halestorm, Trivium, and Nothing More. The festival was originally only open for one day, in 2013 it was extended to two days, then three days in 2018.
Welcome to Rockville was founded and produced by Danny Wimmer, who has produced many rock festivals in the United States through his festival production company Danny Wimmer Presents.
